Newsroom LEAD STORY Five Justices Listen to the States, Support a Federal Role in Clean Water Protection In the recent decisions in Rapanos v. Unites States and Carabell v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, five justices reaffirmed broad protection for rivers, streams, and wetlands under the Clean Water Act.
